The Visionary Eye Center's two new locations offer a unique opportunity to offer premium patient care (both visual and medical) with an aggressive approach to business growth.

About Us

The Visionary Eye Center was founded in January 2020 through the acquisition of an existing practice and the build-out of a second new location, both in Jupiter, Florida. While both are prime locations, the opportunities are vastly different. For the newly acquired location, our strategy is to optimize business processes and continue to grow a successful practice with new staff and new ideas. For our new location, we have the opportunity to aggressively grow and expand patient care across a captive market in West Jupiter.

Job Description

The Practice Administrator & Business Development would be split across both locations as per the Doctors' schedules. With only a 10 minute drive between East and West locations, leveraging staff and patients can be easily done. The Practice Administrator should easily create and maintain a pleasant environment for patients and staff, ensuring high levels of organizational effectiveness, communication and safety. The Practice Administrator will drive revenue through business development, marketing, community outreach, and patient management. They are also responsible for the seamless operation of the business, implementing and ensuring systems in all areas are run efficient. With the proper combination of experience and leadership ability, the Practice Administrator will be given full authority to build and manage staff, including scheduling, disciplinary actions, payroll, and ensuring performance while cultivating a positive culture. Daily and weekly reports will be given to Doctor /Owner and Weekly meeting to ensure offices are ran to owners specifications therein.

Previous experience as a optometry and /or ophthalmology practice administrator is required.

A successful Practice Administrator should have experience with Electronic Medical Records and other software, knowledge of general medical billing, coordination of benefits, and medical/vision insurance. Know how to maximize scheduling and patient bookings, generate referral sources to have book built out months in advance, help build the practice brand and ensure all associated doctors are credentialed appropriately etc.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Serve as the point person for higher order operations / questions as needed.
  • Direction of Staff and divisions within company.
  • Implementing and ensuring execution of systems with lead admins
  • Business development - marketing, community outreach, brand development awareness and adherence too
  • Schedule meetings and appointments
  • Partner with Doctor to update and maintain office policies as necessary
  • Coordinate billing department, reports and daily /weekly updates with doctor
  • Organize office operations and procedures
  • Ensure that all retail products are invoiced and collected, working with optical (Ex over see purchase of product within budget etc)
  • Manage communication with office vendors, medical reps, and insurance providers as needed
  • Ensure office stays within mandated payroll budgets
  • Assist in the hiring and on-boarding process for new hires

Skills

  • Proven experience as an Practice Administrator
  • Knowledge of optical billing
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Outlook, and Electronic Medical Records
  • Familiarity with email scheduling tools
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
  • Attention to detail and problem solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and planning skills in a fast-paced environment
  • Leadership abilities
  • College degree; 5 years minimum in optical/vision office
  • Polished professional appearance and behavior. High standard

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
